To add a variation order for an existing work order, start by finding the specific work order in the work order list and then opening the sidebar. Inside the sidebar, to the tab "Variation orders" (as shown in the screenshot above).
Here you will see a list of the variation orders already added on the work order, if any. By pressing the green plus button, you can add a new work order. This will prompt a window, as shown below:
When adding a variation order for an existing work order, you can choose to edit the start date, the finish date, the cost, or any combination of the three.
In order to confirm the variation order, you must first add a comment explaining the variation order. Here, it's important to be as specific as possible. Why do you need this variation order? What is the reason? What will it affect? Essentially, the more information you can provide, the better.
In addition, you can add attachments. Add any documents, emails, etc. that will help document this variation. Try to be as specific as possible, it might come in handy at the final settlement.
Once you have specified everything, press save to save the variation order.
